Hayleigh's Room is "done" and we are Still Waiting...
We don't have any huge updates at this time, but for those of you who check our website regularly we wanted to give you something new to read:) :) And thank you for visiting and your prayers!
A few weeks ago my grandma Jordahl was here and she helped me get started on transforming the "Thomas the Train" room into a girlie room. We tore down wall paper and painted. It is now officially called Hayleigh's room (even the boys refer to it that way:)) We painted it white with the bottom third yellow and I hope to free hand some flowers and bugs too. We chose the "Happy Bugs" pattern from Pottery Barn. We have the window dressings up (a valance and white shears) and the extra twin bed with the bedspread up. We are waiting for our crib to come back after my niece Charly is done with it this summer, but we are ready with all the crib stuff too... Once we find out her age and size then we can shop for clothes!
In the mean time, we are focusing on continuing to save our money, look for grants and doing a fundraiser. Don't be surprised in May if we ask you to buy a bracelet. We ordered 500 silicone bracelets (similar to the Livestrong - Lance Armstrong bracelets) We are having them debossed this G.A.P. (meaning God Answers Prayers) and then Hayleigh's name in Chinese on the back side. We plan on selling them for 5.00 each. If we sell all 500 we would make enough for the boys to join us (basically the price of their airplane ticket & hotel etc...) So we are excited about that opportunity and we look forward to it! If you have any ideas on a large group that would be interested in purchasing some or helping to sell some, please let us know:)
The internet rumors are that the referrals for the End of September through sometime in Oct. have just came through. We are hoping that it is the End of October so the next few would be full months and get to us quickly. It looks like we are definitely looking at hearing in June - maybe July:(...
